It’s that time of the year again and the Holidays are upon us and you know what that means, yeah that’s right, lots and lots of extra calories for everyone. You’ll need to be creative and disciplined at keeping your self-control around all those delicious family favorites.  You don’t want to pack on the extra pounds just to work them back into your New Year’s resolutions.

♦ Avoid the Empty Calories

Wikipedia can give you the definition but you need to make the connection when faced with all those tough food & drink choices at your favorite family dinners and office parties. That second helping of mashed potatoes and gravy, the extra cookie or slice of pie, the 1 or 2 extra glasses of wine while commiserating with friends and family you’ve not seen all year long.  The key is to recognize you have to pay to play and if you don’t show a little self-control you’ll being paying for it with a lot more time at the gym come January.





Fight to keep your Fitness Routine



Sure, you need to hit the road to visit family, the kids have holiday rehearsals, you have a ton of things to do to prepare for house guests, and the list goes on and on.  But if you can just keep to your normal routine of hitting the gym or that at home workout at least 80% of the time you’ll be able hold down the fort (or your figure) to make it to January.
